Faridabad, India: Access to quality rehabilitation and physiotherapy can often become difficult for people from economically weaker backgrounds, particularly when treatment requires multiple sessions and long-term follow-up. In Faridabad, a community-focused initiative led by Dr. Sajid Saifi is attempting to address that gap by providing free physiotherapy services to people who may otherwise struggle to afford regular rehabilitation care.

Dr. Sajid Saifi, Founder of Flexibility Fusion Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Center, has been providing completely free physiotherapy treatment at Gurudwara Sahib, Sector 55, Faridabad, for the past three and a half years. The initiative has reportedly supported more than 500 patients, turning a small community effort into a sustained programme centred on accessibility, rehabilitation and dignity.

A Community Initiative Built Around Accessible Physiotherapy

The free physiotherapy programme primarily serves senior citizens, daily-wage workers, labourers and low-income families who may experience difficulty accessing consistent rehabilitation services.

Patients attending the programme commonly seek support for conditions involving back pain, cervical pain, arthritis, knee-related problems, frozen shoulder, post-surgical stiffness and neurological impairments requiring structured rehabilitation. Rather than treating physiotherapy as a one-time intervention, the initiative focuses on regular sessions and personalised treatment approaches based on individual requirements.

Combining Treatment With Rehabilitation Education

Physiotherapy is not limited to exercises performed during a clinical session. Long-term recovery can also depend on what patients do between appointments.

The initiative places emphasis on patient education alongside physiotherapy treatment. Exercise guidance, posture awareness, lifestyle modifications and preventive practices form part of the broader rehabilitation approach.

This focus is particularly relevant for patients dealing with recurring musculoskeletal problems, where understanding movement patterns and maintaining appropriate physical activity can become an important part of ongoing rehabilitation. According to information associated with the initiative, several patients have experienced improvements in mobility, pain management and their ability to perform everyday activities following continued rehabilitation support.

More Than 500 Patients Reached

Crossing the 500-patient mark represents a significant milestone for a programme that began as a community-oriented effort.

For many beneficiaries, access to free physiotherapy can reduce the financial pressure associated with repeated rehabilitation sessions. It can also make it easier for individuals to continue treatment rather than discontinuing care because of cost.

The initiative demonstrates how community-based healthcare programmes can complement existing healthcare services by focusing on people who may otherwise remain underserved.

Community Support Behind the Mission

The programme has also received support from the Gurudwara Sahib Committee, Sector 55, whose contribution has helped create a setting where free physiotherapy services can reach members of the local community.

Special appreciation has been extended to S. Sarbjit Singh, Joginder Singh, Kuldeep Singh and committee members for their continued support and involvement in the initiative. Community participation has played an important role in sustaining the programme and connecting healthcare services with people who need them.

Rehabilitation With Dignity and Purpose

The significance of the initiative extends beyond the number of patients treated. For individuals living with physical limitations, improved mobility can influence everyday independence, work, household responsibilities and confidence.

By making physiotherapy accessible without treatment fees, the programme aims to remove one of the barriers that can prevent people from seeking regular rehabilitation.

Dr. Sajid Saifi’s work also highlights the broader social role healthcare professionals can play within their communities. Healthcare impact does not always require large institutions; consistent local efforts can create meaningful change when they address a clearly identified need.

Looking Ahead

With more than 500 patients supported over 3.5 years, the free physiotherapy initiative in Faridabad represents an ongoing commitment to community-based rehabilitation. Its central message is straightforward: recovery should not become a privilege determined solely by financial circumstances.

As the initiative continues, its focus remains on providing accessible physiotherapy, encouraging rehabilitation awareness and helping individuals work towards greater mobility and independence.
