When an incident is reported through the application, the platform is designed to use AI-assisted validation and duplicate checks before processing the report. Following the required checks, relevant users within approximately a 2–5 km radius can receive a hyperlocal safety alert.
For instance, if a road accident is reported in a particular area, people travelling nearby could receive an alert and consider taking an alternative route. Individuals in the vicinity who may be able to provide appropriate assistance can also become aware of the incident.
The approach is centred on one principle: relevant information should reach relevant people as quickly as possible.
AI-Assisted Incident Validation
One of the notable aspects of Savdhan India is its use of AI-assisted processes for reported incidents.
Before an alert is distributed, the system is designed to perform validation and identify duplicate reports. This approach is intended to improve the relevance of information being circulated through the platform and reduce unnecessary duplication.
The app is positioned as an additional community-information layer rather than a replacement for police, ambulance, fire services or other official emergency-response systems.
Emergency Blood Requests
Beyond incident alerts, Savdhan India also incorporates an emergency blood-request feature.
When a blood requirement is submitted, the system can identify relevant registered donors within approximately a 5–10 km radius, based on the required blood group and available information.
In urgent medical situations, locating a suitable donor nearby can be challenging. By connecting blood requests with registered potential donors in the surrounding area, the platform seeks to create another channel through which communities can respond to emergency requirements.
