NALLASOPARA, October 22: The Sudhar Educational Social and Cultural Organisation (SESCO), popularly known as the Sopara Sudhar Committee, distributed scholarships to needy students in Nallasopara on October 20, 2026, for the academic year 2026–27.
The programme was held at the organisation’s office in Sopara Village, Nallasopara West, with the objective of supporting students from economically weaker families and helping them continue their education.
Marking nearly 45 years of community service, the organisation has undertaken several initiatives for the welfare of underprivileged sections of society. Alongside educational assistance, it extends support to widows in the community, distributes gifts and essential items to Anganwadi centres, and provides sewing machines to needy women to promote self-employment and financial independence.
Through these sustained efforts, SESCO continues to focus on education, women’s empowerment and social welfare, seeking to improve opportunities for disadvantaged families in Nallasopara and surrounding areas.
