Chapter Home Raises ₹63 Crore from Bessemer, Stride Ventures and Tanmay Bhat at Nearly ₹1,000 Crore Valuation

Chapter Home, an Indian home and kitchen products startup founded by former PharmEasy executives, has raised ₹63 crore through a combination of equity and debt financing. The funding round includes participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Stride Ventures, content creator and entrepreneur Tanmay Bhat, and a group of family offices. The company has been valued at nearly ₹1,000 crore following the investment.

Founded in 2025, Chapter Home is building a portfolio of consumer brands focused on different household needs, including bed and table linen, cookware, home décor and small kitchen appliances. The latest capital infusion is expected to support product development, expansion into additional categories, technology investments and brand building.

The company is also preparing to expand beyond online sales by developing its first physical retail touchpoints as part of a broader omnichannel distribution strategy.

Former PharmEasy Executives Lead the Startup

Chapter Home was established by Nitin Chugh, Akarsh Bharadwaj, Shrey Mittal, Dhiraj Jain and Dheeraj Goyal, all of whom were associated with the founding or leadership teams at PharmEasy.

Their experience in building and managing a large consumer-focused business forms part of the foundation for the new venture. With Chapter Home, the founders are applying a similar emphasis on technology, operations and distribution to the fragmented home and kitchen market.

The company aims to address the gap between inexpensive, unbranded household products that may offer inconsistent quality and expensive premium alternatives. Its strategy focuses on providing products that combine functional design, dependable quality and accessible pricing.

Rather than relying on a single brand for every household category, the startup plans to build specialised brands for different product segments while sharing operational infrastructure across the business.

How Chapter Home Plans to Use the Funding

The ₹63 crore investment will support several areas of expansion. Product development is a key priority, with the company planning to broaden its catalogue and enter additional home and kitchen categories.

Technology and brand development will also receive investment as the business works to establish its position in a competitive consumer market. Another priority is expanding distribution through online marketplaces, quick-commerce platforms, its own direct-to-consumer channel and physical retail locations.

The planned retail expansion would allow the company to reach customers who prefer to examine household products in person before making a purchase. The first physical touchpoints are currently under development.

The funding combines equity and debt, providing the company with capital to pursue expansion while building its distribution network and product portfolio.

AI Technology at the Centre of Operations

Chapter Home uses artificial intelligence across several business functions, including product cataloguing, content creation, demand forecasting, assortment planning and customer targeting.

The company also applies these tools to customer retention, aiming to improve how its brands identify consumer preferences and manage repeat purchases.

By sharing technology, sourcing, supply-chain operations and distribution infrastructure across multiple brands, Chapter Home intends to reduce the time and cost required to introduce products into new categories.

This operating model allows the business to maintain distinct identities for different product lines without building an entirely separate back-end system for each brand.

HOKIPO Provides the Initial Market Entry

Chapter Home began its consumer-facing operations in home furnishings through HOKIPO, an online brand focused on household furnishing products.

The brand provides the company's initial platform for developing customer relationships and understanding demand in the home category. From that starting point, the startup intends to expand into adjacent segments, including cookware, décor and small kitchen appliances.

The broader strategy reflects an effort to serve multiple household needs through specialised brands supported by common infrastructure.

Competition and Expansion in India's Home Market

India's home and kitchen sector includes a wide range of established retailers, online marketplaces and emerging direct-to-consumer businesses. Companies are competing through product design, pricing, customer experience and faster distribution.

Chapter Home's next challenge will be to convert its funding and operating model into sustained customer demand across multiple categories. Expanding into physical retail while maintaining efficient online operations will also require careful execution.

With ₹63 crore in fresh capital and a valuation approaching ₹1,000 crore, the startup is preparing for its next stage of growth. Its progress will depend on how effectively it expands its product range, builds consumer trust and establishes a consistent presence across online and offline sales channels.
