Bank customers across India will need to plan their branch visits carefully in November 2026, as several regional festivals and observances are scheduled to affect banking services during the month. The Reserve Bank of India’s holiday calendar includes state-specific closures, meaning banks will not necessarily shut across the country on every listed date.
In addition to festival-related holidays, bank branches will remain closed on Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays. Customers are therefore advised to check the schedule applicable to their city before visiting a branch.
Key Bank Holiday Dates in November
The RBI calendar lists the following festival-related bank closures in different parts of the country:

Weekend Bank Closures
Apart from regional holidays, customers should account for the regular weekly and Saturday closures.
Banks will remain closed on all Sundays in November: November 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. The second Saturday, November 14, and the fourth Saturday, November 28, will also be non-working days for bank branches.
This brings the total number of regular Sunday and Saturday closures to seven days during the month, before adding state-specific festival holidays.
What Customers Should Know
Bank holidays generally apply to physical branches and routine counter services. Customers who need to complete activities such as document verification, cash-related branch transactions or other in-person banking work should plan ahead.
Digital banking facilities are expected to remain available during most holidays. Services such as UPI payments, mobile banking, internet banking and ATM withdrawals can help customers manage routine transactions when branches are closed.
However, some services involving branch processing may take longer around consecutive holidays. Customers should also check with their individual bank for any service-specific arrangements.
Check Local Schedules Before Visiting
November includes several major religious and regional occasions, but their observance differs across states and cities. A holiday in one banking centre does not automatically mean branches will be closed throughout the country.
Customers should confirm the applicable dates through their bank’s local holiday schedule before making a branch visit. Planning around the November closures can help avoid unnecessary travel and delays in completing important banking work.
