Jio Platforms IPO Allotment Today: Issue Subscribed 22 Times as GMP Signals Potential 22% Listing Premium

Jio Platforms IPO Allotment Today: Issue Subscribed 22 Times as GMP Signals Potential 22% Listing Premium

Jio Platforms’ much-anticipated initial public offering (IPO) is moving towards its allotment stage on October 26, 2026, following exceptionally strong investor demand. The ₹30,213-crore public issue attracted bids worth several lakh crore rupees, making it one of the most closely watched market events of the year.

Investors are now looking for allotment updates and indications of how the company’s shares could perform when trading begins on the stock exchanges. The issue has drawn significant interest from institutional investors as well as individual applicants, reflecting strong demand for the digital services business backed by Reliance Industries.

Jio Platforms IPO Subscription Reaches 22.19 Times

The IPO received an overall subscription of approximately 22.19 times the shares available, according to reported exchange data. Demand was particularly strong from qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), whose category was subscribed around 70.55 times.

The non-institutional investor category recorded subscription of approximately 14 times, while the retail portion was subscribed around 2.72 times.

The strong response highlights substantial investor interest in Jio Platforms’ position in India’s digital economy, including its telecommunications and digital services businesses.

However, high subscription levels do not guarantee that every applicant will receive shares. Allotment depends on the number of valid applications, the shares available in each investor category and the applicable allocation rules.

Jio IPO Allotment Status: What Investors Should Know

The allotment process is expected to be finalised on Monday, October 26. Applicants will be able to determine whether they have received shares once the official status information becomes available.

The IPO’s registrar and the stock exchanges are expected to provide allotment-related information through their respective online facilities. Applicants should rely on official announcements to confirm their individual results.

Under the provisional schedule, unsuccessful applicants are expected to receive refunds beginning October 27, while shares allotted to successful applicants are scheduled to be credited to their demat accounts around the same time.

Investors should distinguish between an application being submitted successfully and shares actually being allotted. Only the official allotment result confirms the outcome for an individual application.

Grey Market Premium Points to Possible Listing Gains

The Jio Platforms IPO’s grey market premium (GMP) was reported at around ₹247 per share on October 26. Against the final issue price of ₹1,119, this implies an indicative price of approximately ₹1,366.

That would represent a potential premium of about 22% over the issue price if the shares were to list at the implied level.

For an applicant allotted one lot of 12 shares, the investment at the issue price would be ₹13,428. At the indicative price of ₹1,366 per share, that holding would be valued at ₹16,392, implying a paper gain of ₹2,964 before charges and taxes.

These figures are estimates based on the reported GMP, not guaranteed returns. Grey market transactions take place outside the official stock exchanges, and the premium can change sharply before listing. The actual listing price may be higher or lower than the indicated level.

Jio Platforms IPO Listing Date and Price Details

The issue was offered at a price band of ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share, with the final issue price fixed at the upper end of the band.

The IPO is scheduled to list on the BSE and NSE on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The listing will give investors their first opportunity to see the stock’s official market price and how it compares with expectations formed during the subscription period.

What Could Influence the Listing Performance?

The stock’s debut will depend on several factors, including overall market conditions, investor demand, valuation expectations and sentiment towards India’s telecommunications and digital services sectors.

The strong subscription figures and positive grey market indications suggest favourable pre-listing sentiment. However, neither measure guarantees gains once trading begins.

Investors will therefore be watching the official allotment announcement and the stock’s opening price closely as Jio Platforms prepares for its market debut.
